‘Hardships prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny’ – C.S. Lewis

If you’re here, then you are probably a warrior. A free spirit. A creative, sensitive, and intuitive individual. You might also be fighting chronic illness or Lyme Disease. You may be searching for medical answers. Or, you may simply be looking to improve your health with healthy recipes, detox tips, and/or a healthy dose of inspiration.

Whatever the case, I hope to help. And I hope we can be friends.

My name is Kayla, and as you have probably surmised, I’ve devoted my present life to healing and leading others toward it. I created this blog because I wanted to form a safe place to share my experiences, connect with others, and advocate for Lyme patients.

I used to spend my time working long hours, hanging out with friends in bars and coffee shops, and going on long runs, but my life looks a little bit different nowadays. Instead, my days are filled with detox therapies, Netflix-binging, Amazon-ordering, and nail-painting. Most of all though, I love to write, and I do plenty of it. In addition to my personal tales on this blog, I write for Well-Scent, a boutique apothecary located in Austin, TX.

If you have questions, want to share your story in The Lyme Diaries, or are looking for answers pertaining to illness, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I guarantee that I don’t have all of the answers, but I can offer an ear and a humble heart. Email me at: kayla.denny@gmail.com.

XOXO,
K

  1. Such a great post. My daughter could have written it! She was living just outside of NYC when she became symptomatic a couple of years ago. She also had to move home. You’re probably about the same age. Too bad you two didn’t have each other to lean on back then. You could have laid around in your pajamas together! She also has a blog, livininthelymelight.blogspot.com. Sending a big hug your way.

    • Hi Gale- I am actually friends with your daughter through Instagram! Small world. She has been an inspiration to me, and I have enjoyed her blog as well. You are right- It would have been amazing if we had known each other when we were both on the East Coast! Hopefully we will be able to meet each other one day :). Take care, and thank you for your kind words!
